White Cross Ring is truly a family business and has been for generations. We pride ourselves on developing new talent and retaining valued members of staff. Our eyes are firmly fixed on the future and this year we have taken on three apprentices.

Two of our apprentices are following in the footsteps of their fathers who have both been employees of White Cross Ring Co Ltd for over 20 years.

Lewis Wood, our Works Manager, started his career at White Cross Ring as an apprentice engineer 27 years ago. His vast experience in ring rolling, section bending and metal fabrication inspired his son Harvey to follow in his footsteps. In February 2023 Harvey embarked on a two-year engineering operative apprenticeship here at White Cross Ring with teaching and learning support from Bradford College. Harvey is already proving to be a huge asset to the White Cross team and is showing a particular talent for welding and fabrication.
Senior Engineer Stephen Bunn began his career at White Cross Ring in the year 2000. During his time here he has become one of our most experienced ring rollers, in fact Stephen can turn his hand to almost anything. His son Lewis (a popular White Cross name) begins his Engineering apprenticeship in September. We look forward to developing his career as he follows in his dad’s footsteps.
Brothers Dan and Lee are two of our senior engineers specialising in welding and fabrication and our Managing Director Tom works with sister Rebecca our Quality Manager.
With a detailed and structured training plan in place we ensure our staff are equipped with all the necessary skills to provide our customers with the highest quality products and services.
