In this month’s newsletter we want to showcase our 3.4 metre diameter rings that will be used to fortify wooden cable drums, these drums are placed under the sea to lay cables for communication, data transmission and security.

Project of the month: 3.4 metre diameter mild steel rings

3.4 Meter Rings

Ring rolling is at the heart of our business- its safe to say we know a thing or two about making rings. We carefully cold rolled these rings from 100 X 100 X 10 mild steel which we then drilled to the required PCD and welded to our customer’s stringent specifications.
Here are the rings leaving our Yorkshire factory to embark on a journey across land and sea. This is just one example of how our products are often one piece of the bigger picture and it’s always exciting to find out what that picture is!
